Pups & Cups Dog Café Review

Calling all dog lovers and enthusiasts alike! Not one of them? You are still being called! If you’re looking for a place to ease your hunger, and de-stress at the same time, then this café is for you. Pups & Cups Dog Café provides you with delicious food and drinks. For just 190 PHP (3.79 USD), you’ll be able to play and cuddle with their dogs for 1 hour and 30 mins. The payment is also inclusive of a drink.pups-and-cups-4

Their establishment is composed of 2 rooms-one for dining, and the other one for the dogs.

We went on a double date during Valentine’s Day, so you can see hearts everywhere.

Top: Rolled Lasagna (190 PHP/3.79 USD); Bottom: Creamy Bacon Carbonara (170 PHP/3.39 USD)

Baked Beef (180 PHP/3.59 USD)

I wanted to try their Chicken Cordon Bleu, but it’s not available. I had their Creamy Bacon Carbonara instead. For the drink, I had a Hazelnut Latte. I wasn’t able to take a picture of it, but it tastes really good.

After finishing our meal, we went to the other room to interact with the dogs.

Upon entering, the first thing that will greet you is this Golden Retriever. His name is Buddy. He is being separated from the smaller dogs because he doesn’t get along very well with them. Don’t worry, he’s really friendly towards the visitors! You’ll also notice the smell of the room, but your nose will adapt to it later on! 🙂

Safety first!

The rules.

As mentioned above, lockers are provided to deposit your items. You also need to remove your shoes. They will provide you with slippers.

The dogs and their names. I don’t think the list is complete, though. We have met a female Corgi named Valerie.

Not all dogs will be brought out. They take turns. Too bad we were unable to meet Casper, the Husky.

The ceiling for the dogs is lovely. ❤

The dogs are so cute and friendly. I had fun the most watching the Corgis, Arrow and Valerie play. They are so hyperactive.

We were able to be with them until closing time. As the staff were fixing everything inside, they went to the bench and lined up themselves. Adorable, right?

Shout out to this lovely couple, April and Marc for being so accommodating. Until next time! Thank you! ❤

  1. Awwww!!! That’s so adorable!!! Its an amazing idea. Esp people who move to this city for work will not be able to have their own pet dog, and that’s just depressing for dog lovers. This would be just the solution.

  2. Amazing! I’ve seen lots of cat cafes but never a dog cafe! And this is just excellent because I’m a dog person…I’m not interested in petting cats haha. Great post ❤️

  3. What a great idea! Dogs are so cute. I have a dog myself. But I would definitely enjoy this cafe as well. I like all dogs. It would be hard though, to say goodbye after all the cuddling and go home without that dog. Good thing they have clear rules and a list of the dogs and their names. Looks like they’ve thought this out very well. It looks like an awesome experience.

  4. Those puppies are so cute! I love dogs but I can’t keep one because I travel too much. It would be fun to have a place like this where you could go play with a dog. I would like to see those funny corgis run around. The heart decorations are nice too.

  5. It was bound to happen. After seeing a trend where there are a few restaurants opening where you could play with cats, it follows that there would be some for dogs too. Unlike cats, dogs to have an affinity with people and they are so much more fun to interact with. I mean that is if you do not mind the larger breeds licking your face… 🙂

  6. At first, I thought this was in Cebu! Good thing, I went back and read it again. It’s in Pque! Actually, this and Barkin’ Blends seem to be distant from where I live but both cafes seem to be comfortable to go to. But those Corgi dogs really look adorable. ❤

  7. I was gonna ask if the dogs were in the dining area, haha! 🙂

It is refreshing to see pet-themed cafes mushrooming everywhere. I’ve heard of a cat cafe in Bangkok and a Husky cafe in Melaka, too! Although I am not particularly a dog person, I could imagine how exciting is this for dog lovers. 🙂

What a fun way to celebrate Valentines Day. Kudos! 🙂

  8. I’m not a big dog and cat lover (I’m more of a fish lover) so I don’t think I will enjoy this kind of cafe. I’m sure my sister will enjoy this too though because she has several dogs and she loves being with dogs – she even kisses them. So yeah, I think I’m not a big fan of this kind of cafe because I’ll always think about the fur of the doggies and cats to be flying all over the place and might land on food. Maybe one day I’ll change my preference but for now I’ll pass.

  9. A dog cafe has to be the cutest thing ever! I love puppies and food so to have the two of them in the same place is so cool. Love that you got to check this out!!

  10. I find puppies really cute. I had pets before when I was a kid. I treat them as my friends. But at present, I cannot take good care of pets anymore due to busy schedule. Thanks for sharing this information. I will keep this blog in mind when we visit the place.

  11. I like dogs but we cannot keep a pet at home. I got excited to visit this place when I was reading your blog. Until that final reveal that this was all the way in far Paranaque. I hope something like this opens in QC too.

  12. Wow..this is the perfect place for me.No matter what, I am going to visit here one day. Reminded me of the pet that I used to have in childhood!! Love dogs. Loved your post

  13. This looks like actual heaven! I am absolutely obsessed with pups and to be able to eat and play with them afterwards sounds like a dream! I guess I’m booking my next trip to the Philippines!

  14. This is the darnest idea ever!! Omg food and puppies ! What’s there not to love? You get to eat yummy food and burn the calories off by playing and laughing with the pups! LOVE xoxo

  15. It makes me so happy to see there are now cafes like this! I am a dog lover, and a pawparent to two beautiful golden retrievers and I’ve always wanted to put up a business that includes them in it too. I haven’t been to this place but I will give this a visit on my free time! Thank you for sharing this!

  16. Awww .. your post made me smile! We have two golden retrievers of our own .. so I couldn’t help but make the picture of Buddy my favorite

  17. I really like the concept of dog cafe because I like dogs so much. I had read one more post recently about a dog cafe. pups cups looks like such an adorable dog cage. I would love to experience this place

  18. A concept restaurant like this, certainly attract customers who are canine lovers. I’m not sure though if the stress brought about by the daily cuddling with different people will not affect the health of dogs and the safety of customers.

  19. Such cafe is trending in BKK and Singapore too. However, there are many friends who love dogs discouraged me from going to such cafes as the dogs there are actually not living in a good environment. Not sure how true, but it’s sad to hear that.

  20. Wow just like the cat café. Restaurants really has unique way to gain customers and pretty awesome targeting animal lovers.

  21. What a cute cafe! If I wouldn’t be allergic I’d love to go there and play with all the dogs. 🙂 The place look cozy. And I’m sure that the food was good too, or at least looks simple but delicious.

  22. oh wow, seeing the pups lining themselves up on the bench was so adorable! And I love that corgi! we do have dogs cafe here in singapore, but the pups are mostly aloof, or they are more attached to the frequent patrons (you will surely know who are the usual patrons, because the pups all flock over to them) or those who spend money to buy treats.

  23. It’s too sad that the dogs take turns. That would mean knowing the schedule of the dog one wants before visiting. Anyway, it’s good to know that a dog cafe is available for those living in the south. My partner, Lloyd, will surely be thrilled.

  24. Waaah! I dont usually go to cafés but if it’s a place where there’s dogs in it, i would be gaga over it! We have 2 goldens, 5 shih tzus and 2 mini pins so just imagin how I’m a sucker of dogs..haha! We have 1 dog cafe here in Cebu too and just like Pups and Cups, they have a separate area where the guests cn interact with the furbabies..and that’s a good thing, considering the sanitation. It’s a bit pricey I guess but I’d still go for it to check the dogs out. 🙂

  25. I’ve had a bad experience at one of the dog cafes located at Katipunan Ave. Quezon City. The place was packed with people and the dogs were so tired that they didn’t even move as much as a normal dog would. What added to our negative reaction about dog cafes were the customers who were pulling the dogs and were forcing them to take selfies. Since then, dogs or any other animal cafes would never be something I would enjoy. Although the dogs in your post looks well taken care of and the food looks amazing as well! 🙂

  26. Restos for Cat lovers have been growing… So it’s nice to see a balance and have doglovers a chance to try out great food while cuddling with cute dogs and pups ❤

  27. animal lovers especially dog owners would surely love to visit that place. I really wonder how comfortable one would eat with pets around. We tried dining in at one cat cafe and we felt so awkward. Perhaps not our trip.

  28. I think those dogs and cat cafe are the coolest idea! It is a wonderful activity to bond with the family and release stress and relax. Exposure to animals also make us happier so this is highly recommended. I spied a similar cafe in my city and I cannot wait to visit the place with my little cat lover!
